Charming Garden
Details  Map
111 North Atlantic Boulevard
This totally authentic Chinese restaurant with moderate prices is a true find. Both locals and those "in the know" wander in when they want to experience a true Hunan feast. The "little dishes of Hunan," like a Chinese version of antipasti, are especially good. The crisp, grass-green snap peas, crunchy pickled cucumbers and bamboo shoots coated in reddish chile paste are some of the best choices. Entree specialties include the famous Hunan-style Cured Ham in Honey Sauce that comes sandwiched in a steamed bun. Try some of the really authentic and interesting dishes, like the tender 'Beggar's Chicken'. Wine and Chinese beer are available.
